Hello!
I’m Eric. I’ve been involved and passionate about technology, gaming, and psychology for over 20 years, and professionally acting on that for over a decade.
I started a personal tech blog when I was 14, writing about tech news and doing reviews of any product I could get my hands on.
In university, I studied Psychology with a focus in clinical and cognitive psychology, and completed an honors thesis in Human Computer Interaction studying the impact of gamification on behavioral reinforcement paradigms.
My first professional role was as a technology market research analyst, which proved a perfect combination of general technology expertise and data-driven research. During my tenure, I built a research line from scratch focusing on the Extended Reality (XR) market, which I grew to one of the largest services at the company within two years. I served as a product manager for this service and a few others, with focuses in video, media & entertainment, wearables, and other consumer technologies.
In this role, I was a go-to subject matter expert in these areas, and others as they related, especially AI. This required excellent storytelling and speaking skills, being able to distill complex technical topics to the audience. Audiences varied quite dramatically, from technically minded C level and product roles, to generalist news readers.
